The Brazilian Defender Signs for Da Nang F.C.

Vietnam’s top-flight football club, [Club Name], has bolstered its defensive ranks with the signing of Brazilian center-back, Cassio Fernando Scheid. The 1994-born defender, who stands at an imposing 1.86m and is left-footed, joined the V.League 1 side on Monday as their latest foreign acquisition.

Scheid brings a wealth of experience, having plied his trade professionally in Brazil, Portugal, Thailand, and most recently, Indonesia. His market value, according to Transfermarkt, stands at €275,000 ($281,935). With Da Nang conceding 17 goals in nine games, the worst record in the league, Scheid is expected to shore up their backline and provide much-needed solidity.

Scheid’s arrival comes as a replacement for the departed foreign player, Werick Caetano, who left the club after a short stint. Despite scoring three goals in nine appearances, Caetano’s loan spell from Bulgarian side Beroe Stara Zagora ended, with his contract running until June 2026.

Da Nang FC now boasts a trio of foreign talents, including center-backs Rangel Merlon and Cassio Scheid, alongside center-forward Yuri Mamute. However, Mamute has come under fire from fans due to his lack of goals and two missed penalties this season.
