According to a Vietnam News Agency correspondent in France, the Thai Binh People’s Council delegation, led by Chairman Nguyen Tien Thanh, paid a working visit to the French Republic from May 19 to 22. The visit was part of a program aimed at boosting trade and investment ties with countries in the European Union.

On May 20, the delegation visited Nevers, Nièvre, in the region of Bourgogne-Franche-Comté, to explore the investment climate and potential areas of collaboration with the city.

Denis Thuriot, Mayor of Nevers, greeted the delegation and expressed his hope that the visit would pave the way for future cooperation between the two regions.

“We aspire to forge a partnership between Thai Binh and Nevers, which would be a significant historical milestone,” said Alain Bourcier. “Our open discussions have revealed numerous shared interests and values, providing a solid foundation for successful economic cooperation.”

Nguyen Tien Thanh expressed his desire to establish multifaceted cooperation between Thai Binh and Nevers, encompassing investment and trade exchanges, import and export promotion, human resource development, and collaboration in high technology, education, healthcare, equipment production, and cultural exchanges.

He commended the involvement of businesses and partners from Nevers and noted the keen interest of Thai Binh’s organizations and businesses in exploring cooperation and investment opportunities in Nevers, particularly in trade, green energy, digital transformation, finance, and banking.

With Thai Binh’s vision, potential, and development aspirations, Nguyen Tien Thanh is optimistic about the diverse and tangible cooperation prospects with French partners, especially those in Nevers.

During their stay in France, the Thai Binh People’s Council delegation also met with French businesses in Paris through the ABVietFrance network. Chairman Nguyen Tien Thanh addressed the queries of French entrepreneurs and extended an invitation to visit Thai Binh to experience firsthand the province’s investment and business landscape.
